Online Stand-up Workshop

with Judy Carter

Every Thursday night join Judy and five other others for Judy Carter’s Stand-up Workshop – Online!   

This is a drop in stand-up comedy workshop with the author of "The Comedy Bible."  Every workshop will

have exercises to develop material as well each student will get time to perform material and get feedback

and punch up from Judy.  You don't have to know any computer programming or download any software

to participate.  All you need is a $25 webcam.

 

Here’s how it works:

  • Once you pay for the workshop you will receive your link.  All you have to do to enter the workshop is put that link in your web browser.
  • In each workshop you will be guided through joke creating improv exercises, you'll watch and dissect a celebrity comic, and you'll get time to perform material (if you have any) and receive punch up from Judy as well as the other participants. 
  • If you are just starting and don't have any material, Judy will work with you to find your authentic comedy voice.
  • At the end of each workshop you will receive an audio file of the workshop. 
  • Each workshop is limited to five people. 
  • All you need is a webcam and have to speak English

What do I need to get started?

We recommend the following for a smooth running workshop:

  • Turn off unnecessary background applications
  • A broadband connection

For Windows we recommend the following: 

  • Pentium 4 1Ghz or higher
  • 256MB of RAM or more
  • XP, Vista or WIN 7
For Mac we recommend the following:

  • Power Mac G5 (1GHz) or Intel Mac
  • 256MB of RAM or more
  • Tiger, Leopard or Snow Leopard (OSX 10.4 and up)

How to sign up:

Picks which dates you would like to attend.  The following Thursdays are still available although since there are only five students per class, they will fill up quickly.

Each of the upcoming classes features a famous comedian that will be analyzed, with a focus on what they're doing right and how you can do it too.
