FAQ for Online Workshop

If I buy four classes, do I have to do them four weeks in a row?j

You don't have to do the classes consecutively. You can scatter the classes over several months, but you must have completed the fourth class within a three month period.

Is there a showcase associated with the online workshop?

There is no showcase.

I've been doing some open mics and I would like to have Judy comment on my YouTube video. Is there a way to do that?

Absolutely. Email us the link to your video and when it's your turn to present, we will be able to show the workshop your video.

When Judy gives me feedback, is there a way that I can record it?

Yes. We will handle all recordings on our end and, at the end of the workshop, you will receive an audio file in your email.

Do the classes build on each other?

Each class is complete unto itself.

I'm a beginner. I have a journal full of ideas but I've never done stand-up. Is the online workshop right for me?

Yes, as in each class you will have one-on-one personal coaching from Judy, and she will adjust her coaching depending on your experience.

What if I need to cancel at the last minute? Can I roll it over to another class or get a refund?

Sorry, there are not refunds, rollovers or exchanges due to the limited number of people in the class.

I have a lot of material I'd like to run by Judy. How long of a set can I do in the online class?

Generally speaking, each student will have an opportunity to present up to seven minutes of material and that would provide Judy with giving you ten minutes of feedback. If you have a lot of material, you might want to break it up into different classes to get the most out of her feedback.

What can I expect to get out of the online class?

• You can expect to get one or more of the following items:
• Punch up on you existing material
• Jam session - Creating new material
• Career advice
• Improv exercises to inspire creativity

Will there be any exercises or are we just working on our acts?

Each class will start with watching and dissecting the work of a famous comic. Then there will be exercises and the bulk of the class will be individual attention to all five participants.

Do we get feedback just from Judy or will we get feedback from other people as well?

You'll defiantly get feedback from Judy and other class participants are encouraged to assist in writing you new material.

Is Judy the only teacher for the class or will there be other teachers?

Judy might have some surprise celebrity guests teaching the class and there might be some other teachers if Judy is unable to attend the class.

I'm really bad with computers. Is this workshop more for people who are computer savy?

Not at all. So long as you have a webcam and know how to use it, getting into the class is as easy as clicking a link.

Is there an age limit?

Yes. This class is an adult class with no restrictions on language. Therefore, you must be 18 or older. However, we do accept younger students with permission from their parents.
